SeaWorld and Busch Gardens FL to Offer Free Admission for US Veterans

SeaWorldORL08-04-01bU.S. military veterans can enter SeaWorld Orlando and Bush Gardens Tampa on July 4, 2018 without paying a dime. Whether a veteran served in the Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, National Guard or Coast Guard, they can enjoy the festive activities at two of Florida’s biggest attractions on Independence Day. In a press release, SeaWorld said it hopes this offer will help veterans create memories with their families.

The men and women who serve this country in the U.S. Armed Services are incredibly important, and we’re proud to extend our gratitude to these brave men and women and their families. We hope this invitation to all veterans allows them to make incredible memories with their families at our parks,” said SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment CEO John Reilly.

July 4th is a federally recognized holiday that celebrates the United States’ independence from the British Empire. On July 4, 1776, the Continental Congress adopted the Declaration of Independence, thereby signaling the formation of the independent and self-governed United States. Of course, achieving this independence didn’t come without cost. The American Revolution was one of the bloodiest wars in history. While the exact number remains unknown, some sources estimate that up to 7,000 American soldiers died through the eight-year conflict with the British Empire.

Over the years, the message of July 4th has been largely forgotten. Many people today view it as the start of summer, using this time to take a vacation or host backyard parties. However, some companies continue to reinforce the importance of July 4 by offering free products, services, discounts and other perks to veterans and/or active members of the U.S. armed forces.

Free admission to SeaWorld and Busch Gardens is just two of many perks being offered to veterans on July 4th. Military.com has a comprehensive list of U.S. businesses that offer discounts to veterans and military members on Independence Day. Keep in mind, however, that this is still only a fraction of the total businesses that offer perks. There are literally thousands of businesses in the United States that celebrate July 4th by providing perks to veterans and military members.

So, if you know someone who’s a veteran, let them know about the perks being offered on July 4th. Even if they aren’t a fan of SeaWorld or Busch Gardens, there are plenty of other free and low-cost activities available for veterans on Independence Day.
